Regional Meetings

The IFLOSS Coalition meets quarterly in the Northern, Central, and Southern parts of Illinois. At these meetings, participants have the opportunity to network and share progress with fellow participants.

The building is located at Madison and Dearborn in downtown Chicago. There is an Argo Tea shop and Sears on the corner. The main entrance to the building is just north of those stores. It is on the 10th floor.

We suggest parking at the Block 37 building, which is just north of Washington, the first street north. Entrance is on the right. There is an early bird rate of $14 and the full day rate is $36. I am not sure how much they will charge for several hours during the middle of the day.

It is also reachable by bus (many north/south routes to State Street or Dearborn, east/west routes down Madison or Washington. The red line subway stops at State and Washington. The brown and orange line elevated trains stop at Madison and Wabash (2 streets east of Dearborn) and the blue line stops right in front of the building at either Washington or Madison and Dearborn. The building is about 5 blocks east of the Ogilvie Metra Station and about 8 blocks from the Union Station at Jackson and Canal (3 blocks north and 5 blocks east). I suggest people go to the CTA website at www.transitchicago.com or the Metra website at www.metrarail.com for more information.
